Annual Hot Tub Service

Annual Hot Tub Service

When you have ordered your service online we will call to arrange your appointment and have your service carried out within two weeks.

Our Annual Service encompasses a comprehensive 26-point inspection (refer to the full list below), during which your hot tub undergoes thorough scrutiny, cleaning, and sanitization. All that's required on your part is to leave your hot tub filled with water and turned on, ready for our engineer to commence work. The Annual Service typically takes approximately 3 hours, depending on your hot tub's size. Upon completion, you'll receive an annual service report detailing the checks performed, along with any service recommendations.

Any minor issues discovered during the service will be addressed at no extra cost. In case broken parts are identified, and the engineer has suitable replacements onboard, these parts will be fitted free of charge during the service, with only the cost of the parts incurred.

What does the 26-point check include?

  • Water analysis: Assess the current sanitizer and pH levels in the spa water.

  • Water treatment recommendations: Based on water analysis, suggest changes to the care routine or products required to maintain the hot tub.

  • Visual plumbing check: Examine plumbing, including pipe/heater unions and isolation valve connections, for integrity and identify any leaks.

  • Test jet functions: Verify satisfactory operation of all jets, ensuring they turn on and off, and address any stuck ones if possible.

  • Test topside diverter and air valves (if fitted): Open all diverter and air valves to ensure proper functionality.

  • Test ozone output (if fitted): Check the ozone system and ozone jet for correct operation, advising if the ozone unit needs replacement.

  • Visual check of pump and heater seals: Remove pump and heater unions to inspect seals.

  • Test all electrical components: Check the operation of all electrical equipment and visually inspect interconnecting wiring for integrity and insulation.

  • Visual check of the circuit board: Conduct a visual check of the circuit board to ensure correct operation.

  • Test RCD & isolator (if fitted): Perform a button test of the RCD (if available and accessible) and test power input and output to isolator (if available and accessible).

  • Complete biofilm pipe clean: Flush out the entire system with a industry-leading pipe cleaner and oxidiser to remove dirt and scale buildup, this protects your hot tub from the build up of any nasty and potentially dangerous bacteria.

  • Drain, rinse, and wet vacuum spa and jets: Drain the hot tub, rinse to clean, and wet vacuum remaining water and debris from the spa and jets.

  • Clean and buff spa shell: Wipe the spa shell clean with spa surface cleaner, removing scale and residue where possible.

A poorly fitting or damaged cover can affect the hot tub's insulation, with the condition rating indicated on the service report along with recommendations and comments.

  • Refill the hot tub to the correct level: Refill with clean water to the required operating level.

  • Add sanitizer: Add sanitizer to achieve a level of 2-4ppm (mg/l) chlorine or 3-5ppm (mg/l) bromine.

  • pH level balance: Correct the pH level to achieve a range of 7.2 to 7.4.
